The Ohio Democratic Party responded to the latest Quinnipiac approval ratings for Gov. Ted Strickland (D-Lisbon) reported by PolitickerOH.com and showing the governor with a 60 percent approval rating.
Ohio Democratic Party communications director Alex Goepfert touted Strickland's record of bringing Ohioans together.
"In marked contrast to the broken system in Washington, Governor Strickland has established a consistent record of bringing Ohioans together to solve the difficult challenges confronting our state's economy," Goepfert said. "It appears that Ohioans support Governor Strickland's agenda for creating thousands of new Ohio jobs and laying the foundation for long-term economic growth and prosperity through a $1.57 billion jobs stimulus plan."

"This case touches on the most fundamental of rights of American citizens: the right to vote."
- U.S. District Judge Algenon Marbley, who decided the congressional contest in OH-15 must count provisional ballots.
So how?
So how does the Governor stimulate the economy and jobs when he is laying off state workers right and left?
What is the price going to be down the road with all the back room dealing that has gone on with the GOP? Somebody is owed something - that is for sure.
State workers don't
State workers don't stimulate the economy. They drag it down by taking revenue from private investors.
Not surprising that Ted has a 60% approval rating. He's not Taft, and he's yet to make a tough decision. Halfway through his first term, and still hasn't told us how he intends to fix school funding, for example. He told us that he had a plan during the campaign, didn't say what it was. The next two years will be spent in campaign mode. The bad news is that we are probably 4 years away from his fix for school funding. The good news is that we are 4 years away from the tax hike he'll propose in order to finally fix school funding.
