Pelosi coming to fundraise for Kilroy

Pelosi will host Kilroy (D-Columbus) at the Miranova apartment tower, said John Raphael who was invited to attend. Raphael is a former aide to Columbus city councilman John Maloney and hosted a Kilroy fundraiser at his home featuring U.S. Rep. John Murtha (D-Penn.).

The fundraiser will feature "friends" at $1,000 per person, "patrons" at $2,300 per person and "hosts" at $5,000 per person, according to an invitation provided by the campaign of Steve Stivers (R-Columbus).

State Sen. Stivers' campaign quickly pounced on the Pelosi's visit.

“Speaker Pelosi is the embodiment of hyper-partisanship and the face of Congressional gridlock," said Press Secretary Rob Nichols in a statement. "Kilroy cannot with a straight face claim to want to change Washington and then call in the quarterback of the D.C. establishment in search of campaign cash.”

Nichols added that the politics of Haight-Ashbury aren't welcomed in Central Ohio (Pelosi represents San Francisco).
