The campaign of independent candidate David Krikorian (I-Madeira) filed $151,092 raised in second quarter fundraising with the FEC this morning. The campaign filed $131,445 in cash on hand.
The campaign reported $60,903 in individual contributions, $60,000 in candidate loans and $30,189 in candidate contribution. Disbursements for the quarter totaled $23,446.
Krikorian is running against Dr. Victoria Wulsin (D-Indian Hill) and U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) for Ohio's 2nd Congressional district seat.
Krikorian is a Cincinnati area entrepreneur and businessman, who founded Parody Productions, a multi-million dollar novelty publishing business, founded DataSuites, a Cincinnati-based information technology infrastructure company, has worked as vice president and general manager of Cincinnati Bell and as a financial analyst for Fidelity Investments.
Krikorian calls himself a "true Independent," who is 100 percent accountable to voters, "not a political party." On energy policy, Krikorian is for drilling, nuclear energy and alternative energy, and against a windfall profits tax. Krikorian is for reduced spending, a balanced budget and increased interest rates. And he is against an increased money supply, "ballooning government debt," pork projects and "Wall Street bailouts."
The campaign of Krikorian opponent Victoria Wulsin told PolitickerOH.com last week that the campaign had raised over $308,000 in the second quarter.
Official filing numbers from the Wulsin and Schmidt campaigns were not available from the FEC as of this posting.
