The campaign of Dr. Victoria Wulsin (D-Indian Hill) got a boost this past week from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the form of $141,525 media buy in her race against U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland).
The DCCC Independent Expenditure also disclosed spending $3,784 for media production to the Federal Election Commission, bringing total expenses for the Democratic campaign organization to above $145,000 over the past week in the race for Ohio's 2nd Congressional District.
The National Republican Congressional Committee also put some resources into the race, reporting $40,971 to the FEC, spent on printing and postage for mail targeting Wulsin.
The DCCC media buy went to Great American Media, with production costs being paid to Struble Eichenbaum Communications.
The NRCC paid Targeted Creative Communications for their mail buy against Wulsin.
Wulsin is challenging Schmidt for Ohio's 2nd Congressional District, along with businessman David Krikorian (I-Madeira).
Wulsin is on the DCCC's "Red-to-Blue" targeted race list, and these recent expenditures account for some of the largest investments the organization has made in the race to date.
money
I thought McCain-Feingold was supposed to get the money out of politics? Why is my free speech right limited to $2,300 for a candidate I like, but the DCCC can "inject" $141,525 into Wulsin's campaign?
